Much like bad weather swept through the northern region the prior day, City overwhelmed United aside at the their home ground. It was a convincing 3-0 triumph for their manager's side thanks to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a display that clearly signaled their championship potential as they strengthened their position at the league summit.

Back-to-Back Losses for Manchester United

This scoreline marked successive WSL losses for Skinner's side for the maiden instance since spring 2024, putting them seven points off the top team with their trophy ambitions in serious doubt.
